Rat Afamin ELISA Kit

This sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Afamin (AFM) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. An antibody specific for AFM is pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-AFM antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection uses a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of <0.93 ng/ml and an assay range of 3.12-200 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values are 80-102% (average 91%, n=5) for serum, 81-100% (average 90%, n=5) for EDTA plasma, and 80-89% (average 84%, n=5) for heparin plasma. Linear dilution performance is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
