Rat Adrenomedullin ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Adrenomedullin/ADM in serum, plasma and other biological fluids, this sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for Adrenomedullin/ADM is pre-coated onto a microplate, and captured analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Adrenomedullin/ADM Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. The HRP reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution, yielding a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to Adrenomedullin/ADM concentration and is measured at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The kit has an assay range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <3.87 pg/ml, with absorbance read on a colorimetric microplate reader. Spike-and-recovery in serum averaged 91%, in EDTA plasma 90% and in heparin plasma 84%, with consistent linearity observed across serial dilutions in each matrix. Components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed and must be used before the kit's expiration date. The complete assay time is approximately 4 h 30 min.
