Description

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat beta 3 Adrenergic Receptor in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format, with an antibody specific for beta 3 Adrenergic Receptor pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells so the target is captured by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-beta 3 Adrenergic Receptor Antibody is added, then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of beta 3 Adrenergic Receptor captured, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader against a standard curve. Sensitivity is 0.062 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml, with an assay time of 4h 30m.

The kit is intended for research use only. Reported recovery includes serum 83-99% (n=5, average 91%), EDTA plasma 80-99% (n=5, average 89%), and heparin plasma 82-99% (n=5, average 90%), with linearity data across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions provided for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
