Rat Adrenergic Receptor Alpha 2C ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat alpha 2c Adrenergic Receptor/ADRA2C in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. A specific antibody is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate; standards and test samples are added and the ADRA2C present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-ADRA2C antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader with concentration calculated from a standard curve. The stated assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.122 ng/ml, run on a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips. Total assay time is 4h 30m.
