Rat Acetylcholinesterase ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Acetylcholinesterase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Acetylcholinesterase. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-Acetylcholinesterase detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.25 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery has been validated in serum (average 93%, range 85%–101%), EDTA plasma (average 92%, range 86%–99%), and heparin plasma (average 94%, range 87%–101%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
