Rabbit Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNF alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for TNF alpha; standards and samples are added to the wells and bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-TNF alpha antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Completed in 4 hours 30 minutes, the kit offers a standard curve range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.6 pg/ml. Sample recovery (n=5) has been validated at 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity in serum (n=5) across serial dilutions was 87%–91% at 1:2, 87%–107% at 1:4, 74%–101% at 1:8 and 92%–97% at 1:16.
