Rabbit Transforming Growth Factor Beta Induced Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit TGFBI (Transforming Growth Factor Beta Induced Protein). The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and uses a pre-coated microplate with a colorimetric read-out at 450 nm. Standards and samples are incubated in the pre-coated wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-TGFBI antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate; the colour change is proportional to TGFBI concentration and is quantified against a standard curve.

The assay has a stated product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.036 ng/ml. Reported average recoveries (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 83–99%), 89% for EDTA plasma (range 80–99%) and 90% for heparin plasma (range 82–99%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is reported as 87–109%, 74–104%, 90–94% and 86–108% for serum; 86–101%, 90–101%, 78–110% and 84–96% for EDTA plasma; and 90–101%, 77–107%, 93–96% and 89–109% for heparin plasma.

Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed on the individual component labels. The manufacturer advises not to use the kit past its expiration date.
