Rabbit Tissue Inhibitors Of Metalloproteinase 3 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit TIMP3 (Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase 3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for TIMP3. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; following incubation, captured TIMP3 is bound by a Biotinylated Anti-TIMP3 Antibody and then by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of TIMP3 captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The reported sensitivity is 0.087 ng/ml, with a product range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. The assay is read on a Colorimetric Microplate Reader and runs in 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values are 91% in serum (n=5, range 80% to 102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81% to 100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80% to 89%). Dilution linearity is demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

Kit components include a Pre-Coated 96 Well Microplate (12 x 8 Well Strips), Lyophilized Standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and Plate Sealers.
