From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP1) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate, a biotinylated anti-TIMP1 detection antibody, and HRP-based colorimetric detection read at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.119 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Sample recovery has been validated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%; n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, average 90%; n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80-89%, average 84%; n=5). Linearity has been demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across these sample matrices.
