Rabbit Thrombomodulin ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Thrombomodulin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a capture antibody specific for Thrombomodulin immobilised on the plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; captured Thrombomodulin is then detected using a biotinylated anti-Thrombomodulin antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction is stopped with an acidic solution, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader and quantified against the standard curve.

The assay has a working range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <46 pg/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Reported recoveries are 80–102% (average 91%) in serum, 81–99% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma and 80–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% in serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% in EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% in heparin plasma. Components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
