Rabbit Superoxide Dismutase 3, Extracellular ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Superoxide Dismutase 3 (EC-SOD) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate, a biotinylated anti-EC-SOD detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and the yellow product is read as optical density at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The standard range is 0.781–50 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of 0.28 ng/ml, and the complete assay requires 4 hours 30 minutes. Supplied recovery data show averages of 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5), with dilution-linearity information reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.

Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, the kit should not be used past its expiration date, and readout requires a colourimetric microplate reader.
