Rabbit Sod3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Superoxide Dismutase 3/EC-SOD in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The 4-hour procedure uses a pre-coated antibody plate and produces a colorimetric signal read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

Standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for Superoxide Dismutase 3/EC-SOD. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated detection antibody is introduced to form an antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich. HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate are added sequentially; the resulting blue product turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance intensity directly proportional to target concentration.

The assay is specific for Superoxide Dismutase 3/EC-SOD with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. The standard curve covers 0.313–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of <0.188 ng/mL. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=10), average recovery was 93% in serum (range 86–100%), 96% in EDTA plasma (86–104%), and 95% in heparin plasma (89–103%). Dilution linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 across serum (89–104%, 89–104%, 87–103%), EDTA plasma (84–97%, 82–101%, 88–101%) and heparin plasma (80–94%, 91–97%, 81–92%). Kit components are shipped at +4°C and stored at +4°C or −20°C as specified in the protocol manual. The kit should not be used past its expiration date, and freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
