Rabbit Serum Amyloid A ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Serum Amyloid A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate with an antibody specific for Serum Amyloid A. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Serum Amyloid A Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm.

The assay has a product range of 0.156–10 µg/ml and a sensitivity of <0.063 µg/ml, with results quantified on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported recovery values are 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma, each with n=5. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
