Rabbit Renin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Renin in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) onto which an antibody specific for Renin has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Renin is captured by the coated antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Renin detection antibody is added, followed by HRP conjugate and TMB substrate. The HRP enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm with a colorimetric microplate reader and Renin concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is below 4.2 pg/ml with a measuring range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, and total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Recovery data are reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The assay is also suitable for tissue homogenates, and specificity is reported for Renin with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Components supplied include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and 5 adhesive plate sealers.
