Rabbit Prolactin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Prolactin in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich immunoassay technique with an antibody specific for Prolactin pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and bound Prolactin is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Prolactin Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance measured at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.109 ng/ml and a measuring range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation data report average recovery values of 91% in serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 sample dilutions for all three sample types. The kit contains a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
