Rabbit Platelet Factor 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Platelet Factor 4 (PF4) in serum or platelet-poor plasma. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an immobilised antibody specific for PF4. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-PF4 detection antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Performance specifications include an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.054 ng/ml, with the protocol completed in 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed. In validation testing (n=5), recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions was 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma.
