Rabbit Myelin Basic Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, this kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Myelin Basic Protein in serum, plasma or other biological fluids.

The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) using a biotinylated anti-Myelin Basic Protein antibody and HRP-avidin detection with TMB substrate, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The standard curve spans an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m.

Manufacturer validation reports the following average recoveries from spiked samples: serum (n=5) 91% (range 80%-102%), EDTA plasma (n=5) 90% (range 81%-100%), and heparin plasma (n=5) 84% (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity data are provided for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the three sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
