Rabbit Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit from Antibodies.com designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of rabbit Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 (MCP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with a capture antibody specific for MCP1 immobilised on the wells.

Standards and test samples are added, allowing MCP1 to bind, before washing and incubation with a biotinylated anti-MCP1 antibody. An HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added, and TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with MCP1 concentration calculated against a standard curve. The product range is 31.2-2000 pg/ml and sensitivity is <14.2 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported recovery in serum ranges from 80% to 102% (n=5), in EDTA plasma 81% to 100% (n=5), and in heparin plasma 80% to 89% (n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
