Rabbit Matrix Metalloproteinase 9 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Matrix Metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate formatted as 12 × 8 well strips, with a colorimetric readout. Absorbance is measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the MMP9 concentration calculated against a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 3.12–200 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <1.18 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Sample validation (n = 5) reports average recovery of 91% (range 80–102%) for serum, 90% (range 81–100%) for EDTA plasma and 84% (range 80–89%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity is stated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

The detection principle uses an immobilised anti-MMP9 capture antibody, a biotinylated anti-MMP9 detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product after addition of the stop solution. Kit components include pre-coated microplate strips, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with storage temperatures of +4°C or -20°C indicated per component.
