Rabbit Leptin ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Leptin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an anti-Leptin capture antibody. Standards and samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Leptin detection antibody binds the captured Leptin. HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added, and TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and Leptin concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.054 ng/ml, and the total run time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery data (n=5) report ranges of 80–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity-of-dilution data (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions span 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
