Rabbit Lectin Like Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Lectin Like Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor 1 (LOX 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.

The quantitative sandwich immunoassay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where LOX 1 is captured by an immobilized specific antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-LOX 1 Antibody binds the captured target, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added. After further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of LOX 1 captured. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The assay has a quantitative range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <24 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported recovery ranges are 80–102% in serum (n=5, average 91%), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%), and 80–89% in heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%).
