Rabbit Interferon Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Interferon Alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing an antibody specific for Interferon alpha 1, with detection via a Biotinylated Anti-Interferon alpha 1 antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and quantified at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.7 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Supplied components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as applicable.

Recovery in neat samples averaged 91% for serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity tested across 1:2 to 1:16 yielded recovery ranges of 74-107% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (each n=5).
