Rabbit Insulin Like Growth Factor 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Insulin Like Growth Factor 2 (IGF2) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

An antibody specific for IGF2 is pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and any IGF2 present is captured by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IGF2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the IGF2 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Stated sensitivity is <1.5 ng/ml with an assay range of 4.68–300 ng/ml. Reported spike-and-recovery averages are 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity is also provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
