From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Insulin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Standards cover a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.043 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 2h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave ranges of 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Parallelism was demonstrated across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
