Rabbit Fibroblast Growth Factor 2, Basic ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit FGF2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, where FGF2 is captured by an immobilised antibody, recognised by a biotinylated anti-FGF2 antibody, and visualised with an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction yields a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative standard range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a reported sensitivity of <6.4 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Validated recovery averages are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma, with dilution linearity demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum and plasma. Supplied components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage conditions between +4°C and -20°C depending on the component.
