Rabbit Creatine Kinase, Muscle ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Creatine Kinase MM (Creatine Kinase, Muscle) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Creatine Kinase MM pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Creatine Kinase MM antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that converts to yellow on addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and Creatine Kinase MM concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The kit is reactive against rabbit and is intended for read-out on a colorimetric microplate reader using a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate platform, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported sensitivity is <9.7 U/L and the assay range is 15.6–1000 U/L. Reported average recovery values across n=5 were 91% (80–102%) for serum, 90% (81–100%) for EDTA plasma and 84% (80–89%) for heparin plasma, with dilution linearity data provided at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in each sample type.
