Rabbit Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor (CNTF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for CNTF, with a biotinylated anti-CNTF detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate producing a colour change proportional to CNTF concentration on addition of TMB substrate and stop solution.

Quantitative measurement has a reported sensitivity of <11.8 pg/ml and a working range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml. Detection is colorimetric by absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and components must not be used past the kit's expiration date.

The platform is a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Spike-and-recovery has been characterised in rabbit serum (range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%), and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%), with dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across each matrix (n=5).
