Rabbit C Reactive Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rabbit C Reactive Protein ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit C Reactive Protein in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a capture antibody specific for C Reactive Protein immobilised on the wells.

Standards and samples are added to the wells, where C Reactive Protein is bound by the immobilised antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-C Reactive Protein antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration is calculated from the standard curve. Sensitivity is reported as <0.064 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m.

Recovery data (n=5) are 80-102% for serum (average 91%), 81-100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80-89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Linearity at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is also provided across the same sample types. Kit components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with individual component storage between +4°C and -20°C as instructed.
