Rabbit Atrial Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich ELISA kit designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Atrial Natriuretic Peptide (Natriuretic Peptides A) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and test samples are added to the wells where the target is captured by an immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-Natriuretic Peptides A antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of stop solution, with the intensity of the yellow colour proportional to the analyte concentration read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The standard curve spans 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 6.5 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values across five samples per matrix are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). At 1:2 dilution, individual sample recoveries fall within 87–91% for serum, 90–105% for EDTA plasma and 84–95% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
