Rabbit Aggrecan ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Aggrecan in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Aggrecan; bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-Aggrecan antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with the resulting colour change read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and quantitated against a standard curve.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of <1.12 ng/ml, an assay range of 3.12–200 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is colourimetric and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Validation data provided with the kit give the following recovery figures (n=5 per sample type): serum 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum ranging from 74% to 107%, EDTA plasma from 79% to 108% and heparin plasma from 82% to 105%.
