Rabbit Adiponectin ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rabbit Adiponectin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Adiponectin. Standards and samples are added to the wells where Adiponectin binds to the immobilized capture antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Adiponectin Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative assay delivers a measurement range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.127 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes on the pre-coated microplate platform (12 x 8 well strips). Average recovery (n=5) was 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is documented for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.
