Porcine Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGFA). The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Standards and samples are added to a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips, where VEGFA is captured by an immobilised antibody. A biotinylated anti-VEGFA detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate are then applied, and TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction; the colour change is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The standard curve covers a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.3 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values across sample matrices are 80%–102% for serum (n=5, average 91%), 81%–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%) and 80%–89% for heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%).
