Porcine Tryptase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com, this kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Mast Cell Tryptase in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. Reactivity is porcine.

Sensitivity is <0.123 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. The format is a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourmetric: an HRP-Avidin conjugate used with TMB substrate produces a yellow product whose density is proportional to Mast Cell Tryptase concentration, calculated against the standard curve from O.D. absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Validated spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave averages of 91% in serum (range 80%–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (81%–99%) and 84% in heparin plasma (80%–89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same three matrices (n=5), yielding ranges of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% in serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% in EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% in heparin plasma.
