Porcine Troponin T Type 2, Cardiac ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine cardiac Troponin T in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a sandwich immunoassay format, in which the target is captured by an immobilised antibody and detected using a biotinylated anti-cardiac Troponin T antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is generated with TMB substrate, the reaction is stopped with an acidic solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a quantitative range of 15.6–1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 6.3 pg/mL. Total assay time is approximately 4 h 30 min. Validation in serum (n=5) gave a mean of 91% across a range of 80–102%; EDTA plasma (n=5) gave a mean of 90% across a range of 81–100%; and heparin plasma (n=5) gave a mean of 84% across a range of 80–89%. Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its stated expiration date.
