Porcine Transthyretin ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Transthyretin (also known as Prealbumin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for Prealbumin is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate, standards and test samples are added and bound by the immobilised antibody, and captured Prealbumin is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Prealbumin Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour read at 450 nm.

The stated product range is 1.56–100 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.68 ng/ml, and the reaction is quantified on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported recovery ranges across sample matrices are: Serum (n=5) 82–102%, average 92%; EDTA Plasma (n=5) 91–103%, average 97%; Heparin Plasma (n=5) 86–101%, average 93%. Dilution linearity is described at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum (82–101%), EDTA plasma (80–102%) and heparin plasma (79–104%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
