Porcine Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a target-specific antibody pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells; captured analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-TGF beta 2 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance proportional to analyte concentration.

Reported performance characteristics include a measuring range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <10.8 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. In spiked sample testing (n=5), recoveries were 80–102% for serum, 81–100% for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity is demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions in each matrix.
