Porcine Tissue Inhibitors Of Metalloproteinase 3 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Porcine TIMP3 (Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase 3) ELISA Kit is a quantitative sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro determination of porcine TIMP3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a capture antibody specific for TIMP3 immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-TIMP3 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the TIMP3 concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The standard curve covers an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.052 ng/ml. Reported spike recovery values (n=5) are 80–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol, and should not be used past the expiration date.
