Porcine Selectin, Platelet ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine P Selectin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for P Selectin is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-P Selectin detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, a TMB substrate and a stop solution. The colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with target concentration calculated from the standard curve.

The assay has a quantitative range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.24 ng/ml, with a total incubation time of 4h 30m. Reported average recoveries are 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity is documented for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
