Porcine SDC-1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Syndecan-1. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and is completed in 4 hours. Standards and samples are added to wells where Syndecan-1 binds to an immobilised capture antibody; a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate then form a sandwich complex visualised with TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution.

The kit is intended for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. Serum and plasma samples should be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer before testing; validated dilutions include healthy serum (1:100-1:200) and healthy plasma (1:100-1:200). Detection is colorimetric, read at 450 nm. The standard curve range is 0.781-50 ng/mL and the assay sensitivity is <0.469 ng/mL. Cross-reactivity is reported as specific for Syndecan-1 with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

Reported spike-and-recovery performance for n=10 samples is: serum average 96% (range 86%-103%), EDTA plasma average 96% (range 87%-101%), and heparin plasma average 94% (range 88%-104%). The kit is shipped at +4°C and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Syndecan-1 is also known by the synonyms CD138, SDC, SDC1, and SYND1.
