Porcine Platelet Factor 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this assay is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine PF4 (Platelet Factor 4) in plasma. It is reactive with porcine samples and runs on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. PF4 in the test sample is captured by the immobilised antibody, detected using a Biotinylated Anti-PF4 Antibody, and visualised through an HRP-Avidin conjugate with TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the PF4 concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a sensitivity of 0.151 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery ranges are 80%–102% for serum (average 91%), 81%–99% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80%–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%), with linearity data provided for dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 across each sample matrix. The recommended sample type is plasma, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated.
