Porcine PIGF ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this 4-hour sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine PLGF in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. A pre-coated microplate is bound with an antibody specific for PLGF; standards and samples are added and PLGF binds accordingly. After washing, a biotinylated detection antibody forms an antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich complex, followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate development, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. The assay is reported as specific for PLGF with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

The assay covers a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of <18.75 pg/mL. Serum and plasma samples may affect test results and should be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer before testing; validated healthy serum and healthy plasma dilutions are both 1:2. Spike-and-recovery in serum was 87%-101% (94% average, n=10), in EDTA plasma 88%-101% (93% average, n=10), and in heparin plasma 87%-98% (92% average, n=10). Linearity data are also provided for 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Detection is colorimetric (OD450) on a pre-coated microplate platform arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. The kit is shipped at +4°C and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as directed in the protocol manual; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
