Porcine Osteoprotegerin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Osteoprotegerin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for Osteoprotegerin, followed by sequential incubation with a biotinylated anti-Osteoprotegerin detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Sensitivity is reported at less than 0.061 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery performance across the sample matrices tested is reported as: serum 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81–99% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%), each with n=5.
