Porcine Nerve Growth Factor ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an NGF-specific capture antibody, a biotinylated anti-NGF detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to NGF concentration, read against a standard curve.

The standard range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.117 ng/ml. Reported recovery in serum (n=5) averages 91% (range 80%–102%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) averages 90% (range 81%–99%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) averages 84% (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial sample dilutions.

Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and detection is by colourmetric readout on a standard microplate reader. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
