Porcine Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative determination of porcine Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1), this sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro measurement of porcine MMP1 in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for MMP1. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-MMP1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance proportional to MMP1 concentration.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of 0.73 ng/ml and a working range of 2.34–150 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values are 80–102% for serum (n=5, average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%), and 80–89% for heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions gives ranges of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, and 89–91% for heparin plasma.

Provided components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl), Detection Solution B (120 μl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml), and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips).
