Porcine Lipopolysaccharide Binding Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Lipopolysaccharide Binding Protein (LBP) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection via a biotinylated anti-LBP antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The TMB substrate produces a blue colour that converts to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer's documentation, the assay range is 78.1–5000 ng/ml and the sensitivity is <35 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values are 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–99%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5).
