Porcine Interleukin 5 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Interleukin 5 (IL-5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-IL-5 detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with colour development via TMB substrate read at 450 nm. Quantitative read-out is generated by comparing sample absorbance against a standard curve.

Reported performance includes a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <6.5 pg/ml, with an assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing in five replicates yielded ranges of 80-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81-99% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is also reported for the same sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
