Porcine Interleukin 16 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com enables in vitro quantitative measurement of porcine Interleukin 16 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The format uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an anti-IL-16 capture antibody. Standards and samples are added to the wells, and bound IL-16 is detected with a biotinylated anti-IL-16 antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour reaction is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the IL-16 concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The standard curve covers 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with a stated sensitivity of <8.68 pg/ml, and the assay protocol is completed in 4h 30m. Across n=5 samples, the average recoveries reported are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Linearity data are also provided across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
