Porcine Interleukin 15 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Porcine Interleukin 15 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine IL-15 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and samples are added to the wells and IL-15 present in each sample binds to the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-15 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution; the resulting yellow colour is read at 450 nm, with intensity proportional to the amount of IL-15 captured per well.

Manufacturer-reported performance figures include a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 12.8 pg/ml and an assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) was 80%-102% with an average of 91%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%-100% with an average of 90%, and in heparin plasma (n=5) 80%-89% with an average of 84%. Linearity of dilution was demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
