Porcine Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IGFBP3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) together with a biotinylated anti-IGFBP3 detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, visualised using TMB substrate and read on a colourimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

Quantitative performance figures quoted from the manufacturer's product information are a sensitivity of <1.485 ng/ml and a working assay range of 3.12–200 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Standards and test samples are added to the antibody-coated wells, captured IGFBP3 is bound by the biotinylated detection antibody, and the HRP-catalysed reaction produces a yellow colour whose intensity is directly proportional to the IGFBP3 concentration, calculated against the standard curve.
