Porcine Insulin Like Growth Factor 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Insulin Like Growth Factor 2 (IGF2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for IGF2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate; standards and samples are added, captured IGF2 is detected with a biotinylated anti-IGF2 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, and the signal is developed with TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the IGF2 concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The kit's standard range spans 1.56–100 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of <0.64 ng/ml, and the complete assay takes 4 h 30 min. Reported mean recoveries are 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Recovery has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across the same matrices.

Kit components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
